Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of cultural values and work motivation on organizational citizenship behavior among employees of manufacturing companies in Surabaya. A quantitative approach with an explanatory survey design was employed. The research is grounded in Blau’s (1964) Social Exchange Theory, reinforced by Organ’s (1988) concept of Organizational Citizenship Behavior. A sample of 100 employees was selected using purposive sampling, with the criterion of a minimum tenure of one year. Data analysis was conducted using multiple linear regression with the assistance of SPSS version 27. The findings indicate that cultural values have a positive and significant effect on organizational citizenship behavior, work motivation has a positive and significant effect on organizational citizenship behavior, and both independent variables simultaneously exert a significant influence on organizational citizenship behavior. The study confirms that work motivation is the most dominant factor in enhancing organizational citizenship behavior among employees in manufacturing companies in Surabaya.
