Abstract

This study examines effective talent retention strategies in modern organizations and identifies factors that influence successful implementation. Synthesis of literature from human resource management, industrial psychology, and organizational behavior reveals that the most effective strategies include systematic career development, high-quality direct leadership, fair and competitive compensation systems, positive and inclusive organizational culture, timely recognition and rewards, work-life balance support, and provision of meaningful work. Implementation success is determined by active top management support, line manager involvement, systematic measurement and evaluation, program design flexibility, strategy-context fit, and effective internal communication. Organizations successful in talent retention integrate multiple approaches coherently and sustainably rather than relying on single strategies. Retention approaches must be personalized for different talent segments, as what motivates one employee to stay may be irrelevant to another.
