Abstract

A Human Resource Information System integrates modules for employee databases, payroll, performance management, training, recruitment, and succession planning. Technology-based performance management systems enable aligned goal-setting, continuous feedback, 360-degree evaluations, and real-time analytics. The benefits of HRIS include operational efficiency, data accuracy, information accessibility, and data-driven decision-making. Success factors for implementation include top management support, user engagement, training, expectation management, and the quality of initial data. Key challenges include data security through encryption, access controls, audit trails, and privacy policies. The shift toward continuous performance management requires cultural change and training. Integration of HRIS with other systems is necessary to maximize return on investment. Organizations that successfully implement HRIS gain a competitive advantage through effective talent management.
