Abstract

The integration of HR functions with marketing, production, and finance is achieved through the service profit chain, TQM, lean manufacturing, and the balanced scorecard. The service profit chain links HR practices to customer satisfaction and profitability. TQM and lean manufacturing require an HR system that empowers front-line workers. The balanced scorecard bridges communication between HR and finance by translating HR investments into business metrics. Coordination mechanisms include job rotation as the most effective method. Cross-functional teams require a reward system that supports collaboration. HR professionals require competencies in financial acumen, marketing orientation, operations knowledge, and data analytics. The HR scorecard shifts the focus from efficiency to effectiveness by linking HR metrics to business outcomes. Digitalization accelerates integration through real-time data sharing but still requires a cultural shift.
