Keywords:
Work Culture, Job Engagement, Permanent Workers, Contract WorkersAbstract
Placing employees appropriately in various roles in the organization will help the organization function as it should. To achieve this, it must be carried out by employees who have commitment and engagement to job. Thus the determinants of job engagement also need to be traced and proven, one of which is the work culture. The research was conducted at a company in Surabaya engaged in the animal feed industry. There are two groups of employees, namely contract workers and permanent workers. There are 69 permanent workers and 271 contract workers. All permanent workers are taken as respondents. For contract workers, out of a total of 271 employees and based on the Slovin formula, a sample of 72 respondents was obtained. The sample is determined by means of simple random sampling technique. The returned questionnaires will be grouped according to permanent workers and contract workers to test the validity, reliability, and correlation. The three tests can use SPSS. The results of the study reveal that there is a significant relationship between work culture and job engagement for permanent workers and contract workers.
