Abstract

In the education system, the work role as a teacher and educator has a major impact on the quality of learning and the development of knowledge. Work productivity is an important element to ensure the quality of education is maintained. This study aims to analyze the influence of career development and teaching experience. This study uses a quantitative approach using a questionnaire instrument to collect data from 100 teachers who are in the city of Sidoarjo. Data were analyzed using multiple linear regression analysis to identify the relationship between the variables studied. The results of the analysis show that career development has a positive effect on teacher work productivity. Teachers who have access to career development programs tend to have a higher motivation to improve teaching quality. In addition, teaching experience also has a significant influence on teacher work productivity. Teachers who have taught for a longer period of time tend to have better teaching skills and are better able to overcome challenges in the teaching process.
