Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of competence, work discipline, and instructional leadership on teacher performance in the educational environment of Malang City. The research participants consisted of 100 teachers who taught in six high schools in Malang City. Data was collected using a questionnaire with accidental sampling technique. Then analyzed using statistical techniques, namely multiple linear regression. The results of the study show that teacher competence has a significant effect on teacher performance. A teacher who has better knowledge, skills, and attitudes in carrying out tasks, they tend to show higher performance. In addition, teacher work discipline also plays an important role in improving their performance. Those who have good work discipline tend to be more efficient and effective in carrying out their duties, thus having a positive impact on their performance. Furthermore, instructional leadership also has a significant influence on teacher performance. Principals or superiors who are able to provide adequate support, direction and resources to teachers can motivate them to improve the quality of teaching and learning.
