Abstract

This study examines how companies manage product and service innovation supported by information systems and digital technology through a qualitative literature review. Findings indicate that successful digital innovation management requires strategic alignment between business objectives and technological capabilities. Leadership that fosters experimentation, organizational culture embracing iterative development, and systematic knowledge capture mechanisms emerge as critical success factors. Protection of intellectual property rights and customer data security must be embedded from early design phases rather than added later. Inclusive design principles ensuring accessibility across user skill levels expand market reach while fulfilling corporate social responsibility. Big data analytics enable real time detection of shifting consumer preferences, allowing rapid product iteration. Digital transformation of supply chains shortens feedback loops between end users and product designers. Workforce development policies aligned with technology roadmaps prevent skill gaps from becoming innovation bottlenecks. Collaborative ecosystems spanning organizational boundaries accelerate innovation through shared resources and complementary capabilities. This study contributes a conceptual framework connecting technology governance, human resource development, and strategic leadership for sustainable innovation.
