Implementasi Pengendalian Kualitas pada Usaha Mikro Kecil dan Menengah Modern dengan Sumber Daya Terbatas

This library research examines how modern SMEs can implement effective quality control with limited resources and identifies quality control practices most suitable for SME characteristics and capacities. Synthesis of literature from quality management and small business studies reveals that effective implementation begins with owner commitment to quality as a priority, followed by simple procedure documentation, regular employee training, use of basic statistical tools for quality monitoring, and continuous improvement through a simplified plan-do-check-act cycle. Quality control practices most suitable for SMEs include worker self-inspection at each production stage, visual standard operating procedures, 5S workplace organization, sequential inspection, physical reference samples, simple homemade inspection tools, and closed-loop feedback systems using the five whys method for root cause analysis. SMEs adopting these practices can achieve adequate quality levels to compete in modern markets without making unaffordable large investments.
